What the check reviews
The same things I look at when a website joins my maintenance plans.
Security
SSL certificate and HTTPS, security headers and files that should not be visible, such as copies of wp-config.
Updates
WordPress version, outdated plugins and PHP version, the most common entry points for an attack.
SPF and DMARC, the records that help your emails reach the inbox and not spam.
Signs of neglect
An outdated footer, users visible in the API and other clues that nobody is looking after the website.
A website without maintenance breaks without warning
Pending updates, abandoned plugins and backups nobody checks go unnoticed until something fails. With a fixed plan, someone keeps watch every month. I maintain around 15 real business websites, built by me or by others.
From €54/month, no lock-in
- Updates with a prior backup
- Weekly backup
- Automatic alert if your website goes down
- Broken link review
- Monthly report of what I do
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The check is free and you do not need a card. If you are interested in maintenance afterwards, I will explain how I work, with no commitment.
What exactly do you look at on my website?
Only public information, the same any visitor sees: the certificate, the headers, the visible WordPress and plugin versions, and some files that should not be accessible. I do not ask for access or passwords and I change nothing.
Can the result be wrong?
Yes. From the outside the exact version of a plugin is not always visible, so some warnings are possible rather than certain. That is why the report says “possibly” when there is no certainty.
What do you do with my email?
I send you the report and, afterwards, a few emails about website maintenance. You can unsubscribe at any time from any of them.
What if my website is not WordPress?
The check works just as well for HTTPS, headers, email and exposed files, but plugin and version checks only apply to WordPress.
